After the resounding victory in Messina, Foggia does not want to stop, also and above all to stabilize themselves in the playoff zone. The opportunity is another of those tempting ones because the Rossoneri will face another competitor for the play-off zone: Latina.
THE MATCH. Millico and his associates were able to change pace in Sicily also with regards to their away form, which up until now had been up and down. And they will face a team, the Lazio team, which is limping at home. But Mirko Cudini doesn’t trust his opponents: “In Messina we had the advantage of numerical superiority and this gave us more peace of mind – the coach says in the pre-match press conference -, however, we could have done something more in the offensive and construction phase. Now we will face a completely different team, with important technical and physical qualities.” Almost everyone is available, including Vezzoni and Riccardi, the rest will be up to the motivations: “If we don’t have the desire in this situation it means that we can’t be part of these squares – says Cudini – I see a team eager to demonstrate its value. We have tried different solutions and we would like to give continuity to what happened on Sunday.”
THE SINGLES. In the first leg, the Rossoneri lost due to individual errors: “The balance must change against a team that is good at counterattacks,” says Cudini. On Tenkorang, who ended up a bit on the margins compared to when he arrived in Foggia, the coach underlines that “he has very specific qualities, I expected what he is doing. With the two-man midfield he was perhaps penalized a little, but I’m happy with him.” Different story for Millico, who the coach aims to protect from too much pressure: “He should be left alone, he is a 2000 player who is doing well but we are not dependent on him. He has ample room for improvement, he needs to be more lucid but I’m happy with the quality he’s giving us. He must be even more continuous but he must not have too much pressure on him.” Finally, the coach dribbles comments on his future after president Nicola Canonico’s recent visit to the team: “The President is always present, he has always been there even when things weren’t going well but now is not the time to talk about my future ”.
