Promoted by Reggio Emilia Airport with the patronage of Enac, a conference was held in Reggio Emilia focusing on the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for small airports, such as those of Reggio Emilia, Ferrara and Pavullo nel Frignano, of which they are the projects activated, completed or underway to enhance non-operational spaces for social purposes were presented.
The meeting was attended by the general director of Enac, Alessio Quaranta, the sole director of Enac Servizi, Mauro Campana and the central director of Economic Planning and Infrastructure Development of Enac, Claudio Eminente.

“With a view to a new vision of smaller airports, Enac – said DG Alessio Quaranta – has set up an in-house company, Enac Servizi Srl, to make the most of these realities, to also make them economically sustainable through the exploitation of areas not fully used, for ‘reuse for social purposes’. This project – he added – finds fulfillment in a national plan for minor airports which should provide not only for the consolidation of what has been achieved in Emilia Romagna, but also for its extension to many other territorial areas of our country”.
