Gunshots in the night. Ambush right in the center of Scafati. A 27-year-old originally from Castellammare di Stabia but resident in the city for a few years was not seriously injured. The man, drug addict, he was grazed in the calf from one of the two bullets fired from a gun, it appears to be of small caliber. The setting for yet another bloody event in the city is a side street of the Corso Nazionale, the main artery of the territory. The victim was in via Cortile Panariello, around 2.30 on Saturday night, when the ambush began.

The shooter would have aimed directly at the legs before firing. The conditional sentence is a must as there are still investigations underway to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the facts. The 27-year-old, who apparently lives with his partner in that area, ran away and managed to save himself as soon as he sensed the danger. Someone accompanied him to the emergency room of the Castellammare di Stabia hospital, where he was treated. The doctors on duty have ascertained that ithe bullet had only hit him superficially without causing any major damage. For him a prognosis of 15 days.

Meanwhile, investigations are underway to shed light on the facts. The Carabinieri of the local tenancy, assisted by colleagues from the operational section of the territorial department of Nocera Inferiore, have been working continuously since Saturday night to try to acquire elements that allow them to reconstruct the facts and, above all, to identify those responsible. The men of the Army, coordinated by lieutenant colonel Gianfranco Albanese, several people heard and, obviously, the injured 27-year-old. To the military the man assured that he did not know the two subjects who approached him in via Cortile Panariello before the ambush began.

Only one of the two was armed and would have fired twice. Investigators, however, do not rule out that the victim knew his attackers, just as they do not rule out that the three may have also argued before the shots were fired. Hypotheses that may or may not be confirmed as the investigations continue. Crucial information in this direction could come from the images of some cameras present in the area which the police have obviously acquired and viewed. The shootings on Saturday night they follow the attack in via Alcide De Gasperi by about two months. It was February 28 when 43-year-old Marcello Adini was ambushed.
