The answers that the Flying Squad officers who are investigating the car fire that occurred the other night in via Monticelli could come from the videos of the video surveillance cameras. Six in total were almost destroyed by the flames, to which must be added two more damaged cars. The episode could be linked to the other fire that occurred two days earlier in via Parmenide. For now, no leads have been ruled out. Even the one that leads to a possible arsonist who, at night, targets parked cars. In the last case, in particular, that of via Monticelli, the cars were not parked in the same area, furthermore, traces of flammable liquid were found nearby in the square. All elements that lead us to exclude that the fire was accidental in nature. The Flying Squad’s investigations, in any case, continue. On site yesterday morning, after the intervention of the Fire Brigade, who had to work for a long time to make the entire area safe, forensic investigations were also carried out. Furthermore, images from video surveillance cameras were acquired. Clues could come from here to trace the identity of those responsible and possibly understand whether there is a relationship between the two similar episodes which occurred within a few days of each other.
