SASSARI > While the general staff of the regional centre-right meets today in Oristano to open the table of the spring municipal elections, in the Turritan capital it is taking increasingly more shape and substance “We for Sassari”the alliance that intends to give continuity to the administrative experience of Ducal Palace of the last five years led by Nanni Campus.

It now seems certain that the name of will converge at the helm of the coalition Nicola Lucchia figure of great importance and undisputed ability, both political and technical, an authoritative man capable of weaving important alliances and catalysing upon himself not only the strong civic group but also all that consensus that crosses large spaces of the electorate, from the centre- right to center-left.

Starting from Sardinia at the Venti.20 Centermovement founded Antonello Peru, reconfirmed with a flattering consensus in Regional Council.

To then continue in an authoritative network of alliances that could involve i Sardists, the Reformers, the UDC and part of the M5S; those, so to speak, who left the five-star movement shortly before the regional elections.

There is already the logo of the alliance and also a date for the opening of the electoral campaign: on April 3rd at 6.30pm at the Astra Theatre.

Lawyer, councilor for urban planning and tourism developmenta position already held in the first Campus council between 2000 and 2005, Nicola Lucchi he overcame internal competition and the call for centre-right unity which he spoke of a few days ago Gavino Mariotticurrent Rector of the University of Sassari, very popular as a mayoral candidate from Brothers of Italy and partners.

His mandate will expire in less than 3 years (a non-extendable role) and, having lost the chance to run for the Regionals, Mariotti would like to try his hand at Ducal Palace before risking being left on foot.

Furthermore, on paper Lucchi is much stronger than the outsider Mariotti, historically close to the Hon Giovanni Giagutoday on the other side of the barricade.

At the same time the rumors say Mariotti is no longer so close to the former Governor Christian Solinasbut increasingly linked to the former Health Councilor, Carlo Doria, precisely because of his role as Rector of the University of Sassari.

Nicola Lucchi’s strength also derives from the fact that, according to many, he is the most suitable figure to capture the consensus that would arise from the division of the center-left which sees Mariano Brianda, this time it seems without the support of his coalition, back on the field.

The former magistrate was a candidate for mayor in the previous municipal elections, but was defeated by Nanni Campus on the ballot.

Nicola Lucchi’s indication should, however, be formalized in the next few hours, probably alongside the decisions of today’s regional summit.

In Oristano the regional coalition will in fact try to speed up both Sassari, where the hyper-activism of citizens requires quick decisions, and Cagliari and Alghero.

As regards maneuvers within the orthodox centre-left, the PD would focus on one of its candidates, such as the former mayor Gianfranco Ganau.

In the coalition, however, not everyone is cohesive about his name and in the end an outsider could emerge.

Furthermore, Ganau is currently engaged in major maneuvers for the establishment of the Regional Councileven if the latest prices show him to be in decline as a future health councilor, a highly coveted seat for him.

Finally, there is the entire area it refers to to be considered Renato Soruincreasingly distant from a reconsolidation with the CSX, and which therefore could focus on its citizen standard-bearer, the lawyer Agostinangelo Marras.
