“From a more in-depth analysis of the electoral results of the regional elections, I register very widespread consensus throughout the entire territory of the province of Potenza with votes that I obtained in 96 municipalities out of 100. This is a particularly significant political fact for me because it is a sign of consensus, esteem and trust, especially in small municipalities, which goes beyond the personal electoral result”. This was stated by Francesco Cupparo, re-elected to the Regional Council for Forza Italia with 4,386 votes. For Cupparo “voters’ distrust of politics, highlighted by the further reduction of voters, can be overcome first and foremost by intensifying the direct relationship with people. Listening and dialogue are the most suitable tools and I therefore consider the widespread consensus obtained as further encouragement to continue listening and dialogue, traveling around the countries. In terms of institutional representation it becomes important to give weight to the vote of all voters, including those of the smallest country in terms of number of voters such as San Paolo Albanese, thanking the four voters who voted for me. The new regional legislature – adds Cupparo – can do a lot to bring citizens closer to the highest institution. Meanwhile, in view of the next municipal elections, asserting my political representation, I will work in agreement with those who are determined to carry out a commitment of service for their community to support proposals and programs of good municipal governance”.
