On Monday morning, at the Santa Maria La Nova Cathedral of Caltanissetta, a Mass was held in preparation for Holy Easter aimed at women and men in service and on leave from the Armed Forces and Police of the province of Caltanissetta.
The Holy Mass, presided over by HE Mario Russotto, Bishop of Caltanissetta, and concelebrated by the regional Military Chaplains of the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza and by the Chaplain of the State Police of the Province of Caltanissetta, was attended by HE the Prefect of Caltanissetta, Dr. Chiara Armenia, the Mayor, arch. Roberto Gambino, the acting President of the Court of Appeal, Dr. Giuseppe Milisenda Giambertoni, the Attorney General of Caltanissetta, Dr. Fabio D’Anna, the President of the Court of Caltanissetta, Dr. Cesare Zucchetto, the acting Prosecutor of the Republic of Gela, Dr. Lucia Musti and the Deputy Prosecutor of the Republic of Caltanissetta, Dr. Santi Roberto Condorelli, representing the District Attorney, Dr. Salvatore De Luca.
It was an important moment of reflection, during which the Bishop, in greeting all those present, underlined the need to place the virtue of humility before the incessant and spasmodic search for “appearance”.
At the end of the religious function, HE the Prefect, in expressing his wishes for a peaceful Easter to the Bishop on behalf of all the Armed and Police Forces present, reiterated, once again, the need to fulfill his duty in favor of of the community with responsibility and unity of purpose, in the exclusive interest of the common good.
