The financiers of the Lamezia Terme Group, at the request of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Catanzaro, in execution of a sentence of the Court of Appeal, proceeded with the definitive confiscation of real estate worth over one million, attributable to six subjects believed to be close to the Giampà gang of Lamezia Terme.
The investigations, in addition to demonstrating the social danger of the six, according to the prosecution, had made it possible to reconstruct their criminal path both with regard to the conduct for which they were definitively convicted, years ago, for usury and extortion, and regarding other conduct thanks to which the six had accumulated a large real estate asset shielded behind the fictitious registration of third parties, who were also affected by the confiscation.
In particular, thanks to investigations into the account of the six, the Financial Police reconstructed the economic-financial profile of the various subjects involved directly or through a third party in the various acquisitions of real estate which were found to be unjustified and the consequent significant disproportion between the declared incomes and the heritage in their availability. This made it possible to achieve the seizure and subsequent definitive confiscation of properties and land.
Overall, the financiers of the Lamezia Terme Group proceeded with the definitive expropriation in favor of the State of six valuable homes, a commercial premises and two plots of land located in various municipalities in the provinces of Catanzaro and Vibo Valentia.
