Presicce will also be there in the world tour of Carmen Consoli the first stages of which were announced yesterday. The singer, who brings in tours her new work “Terra ca nun senti”, the concert-event with which Carmen Consoli paid homage to the Sicilian musical tradition last year at the Greek Theater in Syracuse. A show that has become a world tour starting from New York on May 22nd, to then continue to the United States (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami), Canada (Montreal), Spain – where he will return to perform at the prestigious La Mar de Músicas Festival in Cartagena – and Italy. Among the Italian stages, for now the only one in Puglia it will be the one on August 18th in Presicce, in the province of Lecce, as part of the I Colori dell’Olio Festival.
The ladder
The lineup of concert it is composed of traditional Sicilian songs as well as songs by wonderful artists born in that land such as Franco Battiato, Rosa Balistreri and Consoli herself; the whole composes a great narration in notes of Sicily with its landscapes, stories and characters, filtered by Carmen’s gaze and sensitivity.
With her on stage there will be Gemino Calà on ethnic flutes, Valentina Ferraiuolo on frame drum and percussion, Marco Siniscalco on bass and double bass, Puccio Panettieri on drums, Adriano Murania on violin and acoustic guitar and the inseparable Massimo Roccaforte on guitars and mandolin .
Among the tour dates there will also be a unique event, twin of the Syracuse concert, on 8 June at the Roman Amphitheater of Pompeii (NA). Only on this date, Donatella Finocchiaro, an extraordinary actress, and Giovanni Impastato, Peppino’s brother, will be guests.
