BOLOGNA (ITALPRESS) – The State Police of Bologna and Modena have arrested two Moroccans for possession of over 80 kg of narcotic substances for the purposes of trafficking. The arrest arises from an investigation begun in the previous weeks, after prolonged observation services set up in the Bolognina area, where the policemen of the Bologna flying squad identified and arrested several people of Moroccan origin involved in drug dealing activities. As part of this activity, investigators noticed a person who frequently went to Maranello (MO), where he appeared to have a home that was likely the site of drug dealing activities. The policemen of the Flying Squads of Bologna and Modena then carried out an observation service towards the man and another young Moroccan who often accompanied him. The two were then stopped, aboard two different cars traveling a short distance from each other, at the Modena Sud toll booth, returning from Lombardy. On board the second car, two large packages containing hashish weighing 39.2 and 39.4 kg gross were found, lying on the back seat. In the first car, rented in order to act as a relay to report the presence of police forces, no narcotics were found; however, the driver held the keys to a third car, parked near the house in Maranello (MO) where he lived, inside which a basement was discovered which opened via an electromechanical device inside which another 9 were hidden kg of hashish and over 90 grams of cocaine. At the home of one of the two, more hashish amounting to around 800 grams was found, in addition to the sum of 1000 euros.
