Once the weekend dedicated to the national category teams has been archived, the Primavera 2 championship resumes from the twenty-fourth day. In view of Easter, however, many matches are exceptionally played on Friday, including that of Grieco’s team which today at 2.30pm hosts Vicenza (tenth in the table -12 behind Spal) at the Fabbri sports centre. This is the second home match in a row for the biancazzurri who before the break had narrowly beaten Feralpi Salò, restarting after the heavy defeat suffered in Cittadella. Despite some missteps away from home, with seven days to go in the regular season, Spal remains absolutely in the running for the playoffs. In fact, at the moment Grieco’s team is sixth -1 behind Venezia and Albinoleffe who share fourth place and -2 behind Udinese who are third in the standings. The other youth shoulder pad selections will instead remain at rest following the stop of the various category championships. No match for the Spal Academy either, who will return to the pitch on Sunday 7 April at home against Trento in the twenty-second matchday of the women’s Serie C.
