The Christian Democrats take the field in Forlì alongside the mayor Gian Luca Zattini. He does so by nominating Daniele La Bruna in the Forlì Cambia civic list. The candidate was presented by the regional coordinator of the DC, Simona Vietina, mayor of Tredozio. “I have known and respected Zattini for over ten years – began Vietina – for his moderate but determined way of administering, in line with our values. We must always look for a third way to administer well and keep things moving forward” .
This led to the candidacy of the entrepreneur Daniele La Bruna, known for the company of the same name which carries out bodywork and roadside assistance activities: “Mayor Zattini and Paola Casara welcomed me into their family, making me express what is fundamental for me – he explains La Bruna – I have a disabled son who lived for a certain period in a rehabilitation hospital in Emilia. I would like there to be a structure of this type in our city too and I think that Zattini is the right person to be able to make it happen. He was capable to bring the Faculty of Medicine to the city, I will ask him to also bring a Physiotherapy course, to then fill this new structure with qualified operators”.
The candidate councilor – who in the past has done political activity with Forza Italia – said he was proud to wear the symbol of the DC: “I tried to build my own list, but time was short and the mayor and the councilor told me welcomed”. According to La Bruna, there is a need in the city for a second mandate for Zattini: “It took me years to build my empire – he explained –, even relaunching a city does not take a short time and we need to give Zattini the time to carry on the excellent work done so far.”
The mayor himself recalled his origins from the Christian Democrats: his first political experience was as a municipal councilor in Meldola under the DC banner in the seventies. “Even throughout my journey – he continued – I have always had that concept of politics, made up of pragmatism. The civic list is the ideal venue for this journey. I am confident in a positive electoral result. Without indulging in easy predictions, I think that teamwork and unity of purpose will make us win.”
A political consideration, at the end of the presentation: “We are happy because all the centrist components have seen the ideal home in our administration”, stated the mayor, with a clear reference to the fact that, in addition to the Christian Democrats, the civic list has received the official support of Italia Viva, Azione, Noi Moderati e Repubblicani.
