These are the last days to visit the photography exhibition “Late twentieth century. Pisa and the changing world”, with images taken from the archive of the photojournalist Luciano Frassi. The exhibition it will remain open to the public until Monday 1 April And on Easter and Easter Monday it will be open to visitors from 10am to 8pm, during public holidays.

The exhibition, created with the scientific collaboration of Dr. Bruno Settis, tells the story the last thirty years of the last century through a selection of images. In those years the city of Pisa participated in an intense season, full of events of historical importance and changes in the world and in our country, which are reflected in many photos displayed in the exhibition. Some figures from international and national politics are present in the city and the main historical events, including the years of lead, terrorism and crime, mark important transitions in Pisa.

Also remembered are personalities from the scientific, cultural and entertainment fields, urban planning changes, city news, Romeo Anconetani’s football and the alarm over the collapse of the Leaning Tower, and Keith Haring’s work to create the Tuttomondo mural, in June 1989.

The exhibition is promoted by Palazzo Blu, created with the support of the Pisa Foundation, and with the patronage of the Tuscany Region and the Municipality of Pisa.
