The deadline for expressing one’s preference in the survey called by the municipal administration of Campobasso for the naming of the Selvapiana stadium expired at 12.00 this morning.
There were four choices:
- Stadium to Antonio Molinari and Curva Nord to Michele Scorrano
- Stadium to Michele Scorrano and Tribune to Antonio Molinari
- Stadium co-named after “Molinari-Scorrano”
- Stadium named after Giovanni Romagnoli
Out of 1169 voters there were 1009 valid votes which decreed – with a clear prevalence – the affirmation of the first proposal: the stadium named after president Antonio Molinari and the formal naming of the Curva Nord after captain Michele Scorrano. The preferences given to this option were 730.
“I am happy with the result which confirms what was recorded during the debate on television broadcasts or by listening to citizens – says Sports Councilor Luca Praitano – but I admit that I would have been the same even with a different outcome. It was important that a decision was made and that it be shared as much as possible is the added value that gratifies us. After Easter, the administrative act that will incorporate the result of the survey will be adopted”.
