Several informally painted containers characterized the city; now one of the authors, Lsd69, asks not to destroy them but to reuse them in some way
Letterboxes destined for disposal also in Verona. With an… aggravating circumstance, however. Several of them, but also the service ones and other containers present in the street, such as the fiber distribution cabinets, had been painted. In short, the situation appears similar to that officially introduced by the Italian Post Office in Rome in 2021, but implemented on an informal level in the city of Juliet.
The news of the retirement of these containers ended up in the local media, bringing out one of the authors, Lsd69, born Lucio Sartori, born in 1969. In an interview given to Telenuovo, he admits having decorated about ten of them over time and now asks to find a different solution to scrapping, for example using them for exchanging books. The association where he works as a volunteer, Ronda della carità, adds: “We would like them to remain a heritage of the city, perhaps in a space of the Ronda”. Will we succeed? (end).
