It opens in the heart of the city, at the Informagiovani present at Mo.Ca. of Via Moretto, the Europe Direct Brescia counter, information center on the activities and opportunities offered by the European Union. A service wanted by the Lodge to create links between the Lioness of Italy and Brussels, creating working synergies but also the possibility of draining funding for the city, the environment, the industry.
The Europe Direct Network, coordinated by the European Commission in Italy and belonging to the network of Official Information Centers of the European Union, collaborates with the Office of the European Parliament in Italy and with a series of official information centers in the territory: 46 in Italy , 400 in Europe. In Lombardy there are only 3: one already present in Puegnago del Garda and one in Milan. Now the one in the city will open.
The Youth Information of the Municipality of Brescia and Europe Direct Brescia they are currently collaborating on the creation of some projects including a route training on the topic of Europe with the Provincial Council of students of Brescia. During dedicated moments and assemblies within their respective institutes, the young people raise awareness among their peers in view of the European elections which will be held in June 2024. A collaboration has been started with the Uau Library and with Line Culture for the organization of a cycle of workshops e activities on the topic of disinformation entitled “Disinformagiovani”.
Finally, in view of Europe Day, Europe Direct and Informagiovani will be involved in the project Step by Step – meeting is a walk in the park, scheduled for May 7th to 9th. On this occasion, the representatives of Europe Direct and Informagiovani will participate in some stages of the Via delle Sorelle with the girls and boys who joined the projectaccompanying them along the way and discussing European issues with inclusive realities of the territory.
