She was adopted, she reports ASST Seven Lakesthe resolution issuing the competition notice for the appointment of Director of the complex Emergency Department and Emergency Medicine structure of Varese.
The notice describes the objective profile of the structure of which the successor of Professor Walter Ageno.
In particular, we summarize the mission of the emergency roomunderlining how the Varese office plays a clinical and organizational reference role within the emergency and urgency networks of the Lombardy Region: network Major Traumanet STEMI for cardiological emergencies and network STROKE for neurological emergencies.
The subjective profile provided for the Director of this structure reflects the complexity of the activity it will have to governrequiring not only knowledge, skills and professional experience in the sector of emergency and urgency and first aid and of the Lombard regional model of emergency and urgency, as well as skills of the specific organizational methods and clinical-care paths in relation to the different typologies severity of the patient, but underlines the need for further capabilities: that of identifying the priorities of the structure’s activities in relation to the needs of the territory, of relating effectively and promoting integration with local medicine, the ability to introduce technological innovations and organizational to optimize diagnosis and treatment paths, knowledge of planning and control processes for the purposes of strategic management of the assigned resources, starting from the staff, and the fundamental ability to promote integration between the Emergency Department and the other company structures.
«In agreement with the Rector of the University of Insubria, we have initiated a request for authorization from the Region to assign this important task through a competition – explains the General Director of ASST Sette Laghi Giuseppe Micale – The emergency room is a central ganglion of the ASST Sette Laghi network, which operates in synergy with all the other structures and which can only function well if the rest of the organization works well, and vice versa”.

Skills that he has certainly already demonstrated he has Dr. Massimo Bianchi, to whom I have assigned the task of leading the department in this phase, awaiting the results of the competition. Equally decisive for the Varese emergency room remains synergy with the University of Insubria: thanks to the School of Specialization in Emergency Medicine – Urgency, new and trained professionals come in to support the team and guarantee generational turnover. Alongside the figure of the ED Director, therefore, the role recently assigned to a highly esteemed specialist, trained in our Emergency Department, remains crucial, the Professor Marco Donadini».
