THE majority councilors in Sanremoin a joint note, report the following:
“In recent days we have been silently following the story of councilor Rossano, hoping for a gesture of coherence and sincerity from him that could, albeit belatedly, put an end to the controversy in which he is involved. We also awaited the talks between him and the mayor, who repeatedly urged him to clarify his personal relationships.
We remember that only a few months ago Rossano declared to the press that he would never undertake political initiatives in conflict with his current group, which has supported him for years and has always supported him. Today, however, we learn that not only has the councilor changed his mind and is ready to run on other lists, but that he is in no way willing to resign.
Leaving aside the political aspects, this affair remains deeply saddened on the human side, given that we have always had excellent personal relationships with Councilor Rossano.
As we are no longer willing to tolerate this lack of coherence, we turn to the mayor and, while understanding his efforts in trying to find a more accommodating solution, we ask him to adopt the consequent measures and withdraw his powers”.
