The councilor for education and sport Salvatore Incardona had already explained in recent days that his position would be among the ranks of the coalition in support of the FdI city councilor, who runs outside the block of the official centre-right. Yesterday, without a real press conference, Incardona presented himself to the allies, within the electoral committee for Scerra mayor, where the new entries of “Alliance for Gela” came from. Incardona will be a candidate for the civic assembly, among the ranks of “Moderati-Rinnova”, in an attempt to repeat the result of five years ago, when he presented himself under the symbol of the UDC, an ally of “Avanti Gela”, a formation in which Scerra was the second most supported overall. The relationship between the UDC and the rest of the centre-right coalition, beaten in the run-off by that of mayor Lucio Greco, did not last long. The story of the electoral appeal and not exactly unitary political visions convinced Incardona to develop a dialogue with the municipal administration, to the point of becoming councilor and strong point of the “hard core” of the mayor. In recent years, the very heated back and forth in the council chamber, with Scerra and the rest of the intransigent opposition, have been frequent.
