The “Giardini a Natale 2023” awards ceremony

Today, Thursday 28 March, in the Yellow Room of the Municipal Residence of Faenza took place there awards ceremony for the winning installations of the 14th edition of the Giardini a Natale.

This year the title of the event was ‘Gardens at Christmas: rebirth, the nature of encounters‘ with a strong reference to the terrible events of May 2023 which deeply affected the city.

The title was therefore intended to be a invitation to hope and solidaritybecause as we saw in the days of the flood, it is only through mutual help and allmeeting with the neighbor that what has been lost can be reconstructed.

In December, the organizers were able to work on the theme of the event, creating installations focused on the concept of restart and fraternal collaboration, expressing these themes through the setting up of small gardens.

It was given the possibility for citizens to vote for the most beautiful gardenacross the ‘Vote for your favorite garden’ competition via the Facebook page ‘Giardini a Natale’. The votes collected were approximately one thousand.

New to this edition, the choice to identify four winning categories:

• Best garden created by a school

• Best garden created by a green maintenance and/or nursery company

• Best garden created by an association

• Artistic Direction Award

The prize dedicated to schools was won by Carchidio-Strocchi Comprehensive Institutewho created the exhibition entitled ‘Together‘, a reflection on the sense of solidarity.
