The Veneto Regional Council has approved the tenders for the promotion and support of cultural activities in our region, giving a clear signal of commitment to a sector considered strategic.
The resources provided, for a total of 865 thousand euros, are intended for live shows of music, theatre, dance, contemporary circus, for study and research activities, for the restoration of movable cultural assets, for support for the activities of small libraries, the promotion of cinematographic culture, the protection of Venetian culture abroad, the support of prizes or competitions, cultural welfare and human regeneration interventions.
It is about strengthening a decisive cultural path for the Venetian community and society: it is a significant investment in the growth, well-being and identity of Veneto, offering opportunities for creative expression, social inclusion and economic development.
There are eight resolutions approved by the Council, seven of which were adopted in implementation of the 2024 annual plan of interventions for culture approved with DGR n. 195/2024, pursuant to the Regional Law for Culture n. 17/2019. An eighth resolution was approved in implementation of the 2024 Program of interventions in favor of the Venetians in the world, approved with DGR n. 250/2024.
The most substantial intervention of 500,000 euros is expected to support annual projects for the promotion and development of live entertainment activities relating to music, theatre, dance, contemporary circus and multidisciplinarity.
Local authorities and other public bodies in the Veneto region can apply, as well as non-profit entities with registered office in the regional territory. Furthermore, among others, I would like to highlight the announcement intended to encourage the development of services for citizens, improvements in accessibility and social inclusiveness and membership of a library cooperation network in municipalities with a population of less than 5,000 inhabitants for which provisions have been made 65,000 euros”.
Within the overall funding, the Regional Council, with a specific resolution, also recognized an allocation of 47,000 euros for the implementation of projects of cultural initiatives and activities aimed at the valorisation and protection of Venetian culture abroad, in implementation of the Program 2024 of interventions in favor of the Venetians in the world, approved with DGR n. 250/2024. The questions may concern cultural activities, such as conferences, seminars, exhibitions, demonstrations, celebrations, festivals and any other event that has Venetian emigration as its theme and/or the aim of preserving and enhancing Venetian culture and identity among the Venetian communities abroad.
