The effigy will be carried in procession to the Cathedral, where it will be displayed to the faithful for the next six months. The return to Diocesan Sanctuary, as per tradition, it is set for the month of October.
The program of Saturday 6 April provides:
at 8.00 am the Holy Mass in devotion of the Archconfraternity MSS Assunta in Cielo;
at 9.30 am the Rector celebrates the Holy Mass in devotion of the Pious Association of Porters;
at 11.00 the Bishop of the Diocese of Cerignola-Ascoli Satriano, Monsignor Fabio Ciollaro, presides over the Holy Mass in concelebration with the priests of the city;
at 12.15 pm start of the pilgrimage towards the Diocesan Sanctuary on foot;
at 2.30 pm Arrival at Salve Regina;
at 4.00 pm Departure from Salve Regina;
at 5.00 pm Arrival at Pozzelle;
at 5.30 pm Departure from Pozzelle;
at 7.45 pm Arrival at Piano delle Fosse;
at 8.00 pm Song of the Bishop at the Church of San Domenico.
At 8.30 pm the solemn procession will be held through the following city streets: Piano San Rocco, Via Modena, Via Don Minzoni, Piazza Zingarelli, Corso Gramsci, Corso Garibaldi, Central Basilica.
Sunday 14 April at 8.30pm the Easter and Marian concert of the Diocesan Choir will take place directed by Maestro Don Vito Lapacenear the Cathedral.
