In Sassari, the girls of the boarding school attached to the hotel have also been asked to open

Only students, no female students. Discrimination that is an obstacle to the right to study of girls who want to enroll in the Sassari hotel institute. The boarding school attached to the Sassari Ipsar, currently located in the Cappuccini district, is a decades-old state public institution that has hosted, for some years now, high school students from the Turritan capital who do not reside in Sassari.

Even today, despite the great demand from the girls and the availability of space at the boarding school attached to the hotel, the women’s section has not yet been activated. There therefore continues to be a disparity in access to public education due to gender which also contributes to school dropout.

The opening of the women’s section would be feasible without additional costs for the institutions: the premises are immediately usable and the staff, employed by the Ministry, is already on staff. For this reason, a petition was also launched, supported by the educators of the boarding school.
