An engaged couple breaks up and a fight breaks out between the families. It happened in Riesi, in the province of Caltanissetta, where the carabinieri arrested five people. The litigants, a 52-year-old postman, a 55-year-old worker, a 48-year-old employee, a 33-year-old physiotherapist and a 23-year-old university student, at the height of an argument, allegedly beat each other up until the arrival of the police.
Three of them, injured, were transported to the hospitals of Mazzarino and Gela. Those arrested, all without criminal records, were taken to house arrest. Judge Nicoletta Frasca, after the validation of the arrests, ordered for everyone the precautionary measure of the obligation to report to the judicial police.
The brawl in Catania
Big brawl in recent days in Catania near a well-known venue, Caffè Europa. for reasons yet to be clarified, after a confrontation made up of mutual insults and provocations two groups of young people suddenly went from words to deeds.
The fight seems to have started inside the club, more precisely in the outdoor area which was also damaged, and then continued on the street. There were around twenty people involved in various ways, some simply for being on site.
The brawl was interrupted by the sirens of the police cars, upon arrival of which there was a general stampede.

The video of the effects of the brawl was posted on Facebook by the page “Catania gives entertainment” and immediately went viral. During the clash between the two groups, chairs and tables flew. Damage to both the people involved in the brawl and the venue is inevitable. The video above all shows the damage caused by the brawl, especially to the outdoor area of the venue.
Youth violence
The growing youth violence in our cities is a problem that spreads from Catania to Palermo but not even the smallest cities are exempt from it.
In the Palermo area there are numerous episodes of fights which ended with lethal effects such as the latest one which took place in Balestrate outside a nightclub where a twenty-year-old, Francesco Bacchi, died.
Brawls in all inhabited centers
But, as mentioned, medium-sized centers are not exempt. The police commissioner of the province of Ragusa, Vincenzo Trombadore, for example, following the investigation carried out by the administrative and social police division of the Police Headquarters, also following the reports received by the single emergency number, has ordered, pursuant to art. 100 of the Tulps, a suspension provision for eight days, with consequent closure of the premises to the public, of the administrative authorization for the supply of food and drinks towards the owner of a Ragusa bar.
The brawl in Paternò with stabbing
At the beginning of March a man was seriously injured during an argument that took place late yesterday evening in Paternò. The man, a Moroccan, was apparently hit with a stabbed weapon and was admitted to the San Marco hospital in Catania. The carabinieri of the local company, who intervened on the spot, with 118 personnel, also found other compatriots of the victim, at least two, with abrasions and in a clear state of alteration, probably due to the intake of alcohol. The hypothesis is that there was an argument between them. A list that could go on and on.
