Perugia, project for 89 beds for students in Fontivegge is underway

There is an OK to the protocol between Donini Palace, Adisu, Municipality of Perugia and Italian Railway Network

The project for a 67-room student residence located in the Fontivegge station building has become reality.
This is thanks to the agreement signed by the Italian Railway Network, the Region, the Municipality and Adisu.
The project is part of the overall recovery of Fontivegge, with work starting after the summer on the railway section: a passenger room finally made accessible to disabled people, new sidewalks and shelters.

The student residence, whose work will start in 2025, will be located on all three floors of the station building, but will have independent access from Piazza Vittorio Veneto and the former bowling alley, which will be demolished and become a green space.

It will be able to accommodate up to 89 students in 67 accommodations, including 22 single rooms, 39 double rooms and 6 accommodations dedicated to people with reduced mobility. In addition to the rooms, there will be common spaces, kitchens, study areas and recreational areas. A further step towards the Region and Adisu’s objective of covering 20% of accommodation for non-resident students. And it is also part of the redevelopment of the station with young people at the centre.

The Municipality underlined that the project will also improve the sustainable mobility of the university’s staff and students.
