BOLOGNA – Five people were injured in a accident during the night on the A13 in Ferrara where a bus was involved. Among the people rescued by 118, one was taken in serious condition to the hospital in Cesena, another to Sant’Anna di Cona together with three others with injuries considered less serious. The traffic police and firefighters intervened at km 42 South, in the Diamantina area. It happened just before 1.30 am and the circumstances are being investigated: the bus would have ended up against the guardrail.

It’s a Opel Vivaro minivan with eight people on board, the vehicle that crashed on the A13 last night, after the junction for the Ferrara Sud exit, towards Bologna. The people are residents in the province of Modena and were returning from Venice airport. The driver, who tested negative for alcohol, apparently fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle which overturned on its own. Four people were injured in Ferrara hospital, one of which was more serious but none of them were life-threatening. A 30-year-old man was transported to Cesena hospital in conditions considered very serious, where he is hospitalized in intensive care, with a reserved prognosis.
