Cooking Quiz, the educational project that combines training and fun in Italian hotel institutes, is back for its eighth edition. This exciting adventure was created by Plan Edizioni and Peaktime to involve future professionals in the hotel sector on issues of fundamental importance such as healthy and correct nutrition, valorisation of the food and wine excellences of the area and the fight against food waste. Treated by the trainer Daniela Rinaldi in addition to the lessons strictly linked to the study plan conducted by the chefs/teachers of FIC Federation Italiana Cuochi, of ALMA, the International School of Italian Cuisine, and of AIS Italian Sommelier Association who are part of the Scientific Committee of the Cooking Quiz.

A space of fundamental importance is reserved for the correct recycling of packaging mainly used in the kitchen thanks to the collaboration of the National Consortia for the collection, recycling and recovery of BIOREPACK, CIAL, COMIECO, COREPLA, COREVE and RICREA packaging. The National Consortia participating in the Cooking Quiz guarantee the start of packaging recycling, promoting significant savings in material and energy and positioning our country as a virtuous example on a global level.
The real protagonists of the format are the students of the 4th classes of the food and wine, sales room and pastry/art-white courses. Through gamification, the competition will transfer important notions and information, and then evaluate the level of learning. Individual challenges will be proposed to obtain the highest score in one’s class, as well as competitions between classes to determine the group that will access the next phase, i.e. the National Final scheduled for May 22nd at the Teatro Olimpico in Rome.

The in-person tour stopped at the IIS “Ravizza” in Novara. The male and female students took to the field demonstrating great preparation. Chef Gabriele Zannetti of FIC enchanted the children with the lesson on the theme “History of cooking”. The 4th A, 4th B Food and Wine classes and 4th A Sales Room classes obtained the pass for the national final.
Cooking Quiz is created by PLAN Edizioni, leader in the publishing market for hotel institutes and will be directed and coordinated by PEAKTIME, a company that has been developing educational formats for schools for years aimed at transferring values ​​and notions to students of all levels .
