A walk to raise awareness about Autism awareness. ‘Let’s walk together’ returns, an initiative organized in view of World Autism Awareness Day, scheduled for every 2 April, organized by the Dalla Terra alla Luna Foundation and sponsored by the Municipality of Ferrara. The event is also sponsored by the Ferrara Healthcare Companies, Coni Emilia-Romagna and Panathlon. Scheduled for Saturday 30 March, departure from the headquarters of the Dalla Terra alla Luna Foundation (via dei Calzolai 223 in Malborghetto) at 9.45 am and meeting at 9 am, a circular route of approximately 4.5 km which will unfold starting from the headquarters of the Foundation. At the presentation meeting of the event, present were the councilor for social policies of the Municipality Cristina Coletti, the president of the Dalla Terra alla Luna Foundation Mariella Ferri, the president of Public Assistance Voghiera Soccorso odv, Paolo Periari and Teresa Serafini of the Agesci Bologna group 6- 18. “Autism – underlined the councilor Cristina Coletti – is a condition which in the last ten years, in Emilia-Romagna, has had an increase in incidence of 248%. I invite all citizens to take the opportunity to walk together , because the initiative is a concrete way to support and enhance the enormous commitment made by the president Mariella Ferri and the many volunteers of the Dalla Terra alla Luna Foundation. Autism also has important repercussions on the family and friendship sphere, the intention of the “the administration is to continue to support projects in this area. Just two months ago we signed a protocol which saw us entrust, after a participatory and shared process, 200 thousand euros to associations that offer answers on the topic of autism”. Registration will open at 9am, starting at 9.45am, at the end of which there will be a buffet organized by the kids from the De Gustibus project. The initiative makes use of the collaboration of the Voghiera Soccorso Association and Radio Web Proloco di Poggio.
