Elettra Lamborghini is back with a summer single that is preparing to enter the race of hits. The singer gave an interview to “Corriere della Sera” in which she referred to her latest song and, in particular, to the quote to Piqué and Shakira: “Why do I say in the song that I don’t want to end up left behind like Shakira? But yes, I say that as a joke. I don’t feel like a queen at all even if they called me the twerking queen” – said the singer.

Journalist Chiara Maffioletti pointed out to Elettra that Fedez also spoke about his ex in one of his singles, asking the queen of twerking if she had ever thought of doing something like that. Lamborghini explained that she would never throw a dig at an ex of hers with a song: “If I would send messages to my ex in songs like Shakira and Fedez did? I would never do it, if there are messages in my songs they are random. Then I have nothing to say, I’ve been married for years” – she said – “But music needs hype, marketing: behind a song there is a commercial plan”.

Elettra also said she was happy for the success of many women in Italian music: “We women should do more collaborations to be even more significant,” she said. “It’s not easy for us.” She continued. Then, in reference to the judgments made on women for their bodies, Elettra declared: “I’ve always not cared: twerk is a dance, it’s as if you were criticizing a split. I am not shocked by anything and for me nothing is embarrassing.” She then concluded with a provocation: “But how should someone go on stage?”.
