He had announced it himself on Instagram, publishing a short reel in which he showed that he had been invited to the ceremony which, like last year, was held again in presence, after the long period of the pandemic. The video shows the social star’s arrival in Hollywood, from the moment she received the invitation to the arrival in the hotel room complete with a suit ready to be worn. “It is a great honor to be invited to the incredible night of the Oscars” writes Lame, who had already taken part in an important film event dedicated to cinema, such as the Venice Film Festival, but the excitement of the Oscars is undoubtedly difficult to match.

Khaby Lame is undoubtedly one of the most famous influencers in the world, he has almost 80 million followers on Instagram alone, while 155 million on TikTok, an impressive number that has led him to reach incredible levels of notoriety, starting with the videos of which he was the protagonist and which have been around the world. The 22-year-old of Senegalese origins started creating content for social media as a joke, but his way of communicating and also of eliciting a smile immediately reached his “audience”, so much so that he was able to earn a living by making three videos week, as he declared last September in an interview with Corriere, without ever forgetting the sacrifices made in the factory.
