When does Sinner play at Roland Garros? The guesses for the date dropped from 3 to 2

Two more days of waiting before the official departure of Roland Garros 2024, which will begin at main draw level (while the qualifiers have been taking place since the beginning of the week) on Sunday 26 May. After the draw, which outlined the main draw and all the various pairings of the inaugural round, all we have to do is discover the exact debut date of the Italian players and in particular Jannik Sinner.

The number 2 in the ATP ranking, who could overtake Novak Djokovic and become number 1 in the world at the end of the Parisian Slam, has been placed by regulation in the lower part of the scoreboard and will initially face the American Christopher Eubanks (43rd in the world rankings). The South Tyrolean’s debut at Roland Garros 2024 will take place between Sunday 26 and Monday 27 May.

The hypothesis of Tuesday 28 May, in which only (first round) matches from the upper part of the draw will be played, has already been discarded. Playing on Sunday would allow Sinner to take advantage of two days of rest (Monday and Tuesday) in view of his next match, in case of victory, while if he were to take to the field on Monday he would still have more time available to recover from the hip problem that forced him to skip Rome.
