Socially useful workers, Schiboni: “The commitment of the Lazio Region continues”

The Lazio Region’s commitment to socially useful workers continues. With this objective, the resolution concerning the “Planning of regional interventions aimed at emptying the pool of Socially Useful Workers (LSU) in the territory of the Lazio Region was approved by the Lazio Region, through the provision of contributions for the voluntary exit of LSUs from the Regional List and the attribution to public bodies and publicly held companies of incentives for employment stabilization. The actions introduced aim at the definitive elimination of the number of socially useful workers in compliance with the path undertaken in recent years. The resources will allow us to continue assigning financial incentives, equal to a maximum amount of 60,000.00 euros for each worker, to public bodies and publicly held companies that hire socially useful workers on a permanent basis. At the same time, the Lazio Region will proceed to support the process of emptying the pool of socially useful workers, guaranteeing the disbursement of a one-off sum, for a maximum amount of 55,000.00 euros, in favor of workers belonging to the LSU Regional List , currently in operation by public bodies, who decide to leave the basin.

«Today in the regional basin there are still 52 socially useful workers. With the renewal of these interventions we are certain that the objective of emptying the basin by 2024 is achievable. The planned actions aim, in the name of continuity, to give contractual dignity to those who have suffered a highly precarious situation for many years”, declares the councilor for Work, School, Training, Research and Merit, Giuseppe Schiboni.
