Hilary Swank sells house with Empire State Building view

The two-time Academy Award-winning actress Hilary Swank puts his apartment in Manhattan, at the Superior Ink Building, up for sale.

Located on the 16th floor, Hilary Swank’s home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but it’s the view that is truly unmatched. In fact, the apartment unfolds over the Empire State Building, the rooftops of the West Village and the Hudson River.

A large corridor at the entrance leads to a corner living room with floor-to-ceiling windows and a balcony. Custom and high-end, the open kitchen features Viking and Subzero appliances and a center island.

The master bedroom offers the same jaw-dropping West Village views and includes a luxurious bathroom with tub and walk-in shower, plus a separate dressing area with large walk-in closets.
The second bedroom includes a bathroom just off the bedroom that doubles as a guest bathroom.

The actress purchased the apartment in December 2009 and, according to the magazine Curbed, “hired interior designer Mark Zeff to customize the space to reflect a strong modern sensibility,” including art from the ’60s and ’70s and weathered barn wood reclaimed from a Pennsylvania farm, which can be seen on a living room wall. It was then available for rent in 2015 for $20,000 a month.

The apartment is located at a highly sought-after address, offering full-time concierge, valet garage with direct access to the building, state-of-the-art gym with yoga and pilates studio, party room with kitchen, projection room and bicycle garage.

Designed by famed architect Robert AM Stern, Superior Ink is a mansion much loved by celebrities. In addition to Hilary Swank, fashion designer Marc Jacobs also lived in the building.

Swank’s home is now available for sale with Chris Kann and Jennifer Ireland of The Corcoran Group for $6.685 million.
