After King Charles III and the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, it is now the turn of Anne of the United Kingdom, the Princess Royal. The latter is the third member of the Windsors to end up in the tabloids for health problems.this time, however, caused not by an illness but by an accident.
Born in 1950, Anna is the second of four children born to Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Philip of Edinburgh.. Currently seventeenth in line to the throne, she is among the Windsor members with the most charitable organizations behind her, and is the one who has held the most positions among the Windsors ever. She is also an accomplished horsewoman, and it is no coincidence that she was the first of the English royals to take part in the Olympics. Curiously, her first boyfriend at the beginning of the Seventies was Andrew Parker Bowles, who later became Camilla’s first husband, now her Queen and wife of her brother Charles III.
After marrying Mark Phillips in 1973 and divorcing him in 1992, in the same year she got married to Commander Timothy Lawrence to which she is still tied. Anna, a strong-willed and determined character, was also the victim of an attempted kidnapping, again in the Seventies, when after having attended a charity event in London her car was stopped by a Ford Escort near Buckingham Palace. Despite two bodyguards being hit, the princess categorically refused to follow the would-be kidnapper, managing to escape.

In England Anna is a much loved figure and the subjects’ apprehension about her health is understandable. the Princess Royal was reportedly injured following a collision with one of her horsesalso suffering a concussion, for which she has been hospitalized since June 24th.
Fortunately, her condition does not seem to be so serious as to cause excessive alarm to the family and Charles, who through an official statement wanted to send his best wishes for a speedy recovery to his sister. However, this only increases and emphasizes the already dire period that the Windsors have been going through for months now: King Charles and Kate Middleton have both been struck by cancer, and above all the latter has practically disappeared from the public scene and now even the stainless Anna is out of action for the moment.
