Even those who don’t follow sport, and swimming in particular, can’t help but know Filippo Magnini, one of the most famous and successful Italian championsknown for setting impressive records from a young age.
His destiny in the water was fulfilled starting fromadolescence, when Filippo started winning his medalstempering a character and talent that have always allowed him to stand out among others.
Among the memorable moments of his career is marked by fire and sword the gold in the 100 meters freestyle at the 2005 World Championships: in the race of the fastest par excellence he was the fastest of all.
In addition to being particularly appreciated for his sporting skills, Filippo has always been followed for his romantic relationships, in particular the one with his colleague Federica Pellegrini.

The love between the two swimmers broke out in 2011: at the time Federica Pellegrini was engaged to another swimmer, Luca Marin, while Filippo had a partner, Cristina. Magnini and Pellegrini were caught exchanging a kiss during the World Cup in Shanghai and the photo led to the breakup, accompanied by screaming and crying, between Federica and Luca Marin.
After overcoming a strong crisis in 2013, the two say goodbye in 2016. Too many rumors of an alleged betrayal by Pellegrini do not make the relationship peaceful and their life goals seem to be too different: for Federica the most important thing remains swimming. “She wasn’t sure about love anymore. She left me. I suffered a lot, I hoped for a year but now I have turned the page.”he confessed to very true the swimmer.

Today that story seems like just a distant memory. Federica Pellegrini married her coach Matteo Giunta, who has a family relationship with Magnini, and has become a mother. Also Filippo has found love again next to Giorgia Palmas and he became a father.
There is one thing, however, that Filippo Magnini has never forgotten and put aside: we are talking about his love for swimming. Even though he is over 40, in fact, the swimmer seems to be ready to get back into the game in the pool, as he wrote on his Instagram profile: “41 years old, 188cm, 87kg, some white hair and still a great desire to have fun in the water”.
