«I’m afraid of no longer having the same energy and light-heartedness as I once had, but also of no longer being able to have a stable marriage, of losing my parents. I have as many fears as everyone else.” During a guest at the BCT – Benevento National Film and Television Festival Belén Rodriguez she opened up like never before, giving the public glimpses of her future on TV («I took a year off but will be back in the fall“), memories of her apprenticeship (“I’ve been working since I was 16, I’ve always done everything”) and speaking openly about her sentimental experience that today rests on an awareness: “I was torn to pieces, to shreds. But in the end I win”, she told the audience. To her sister Cecilia Rodriguezwho will marry her fiancé Ignazio Moser tomorrow, June 30th in Tuscany, instead wished a «“a very long marriage.”
On the perfect life that never is
«I realize that from the outside it seems like I have a perfect life, but that’s not the case. I get sad like everyone else gets sad and the fact that everyone appears happy and satisfied on social media is a lie. It’s important that people understand this. I immediately got bored modeling because I’m a talking character who seeks contact. I never wanted to be silent and I never wanted to communicate with others only through the body. My greatest fortune was never feeling up to par.», Belén said, speaking about how her life appears through the filter of social media.
On returning to TV and missing an interview with Beasts
«After taking a break from television and the world of entertainment, I will be back in September. And with some nice things”, said the presenter, who has been away from television schedules for more than a year (if we don’t count her participation in Celebrity Hunted on Prime Video). “I was afraid that people wouldn’t want me anymore, but I needed them. I missed the adrenaline and, above all, I missed the audience. In general, I think we should all return to empathy, love, understanding. For ourselves and for our children.” The presenter also explained why she didn’t accept Francesca Fagnani’s invitation as a guest on Beasts: «They invited me, but I said no. I think it’s a program different from the others, very original and full of spice. But perhaps if I were in the presenter’s place”, she concluded, “I would be more understanding».
On the criticisms received over the years
Belén concluded her speech by talking about the negative comments she receives on social media and that have accompanied her since the beginning of her career on TV. “I don’t read them, even though I’ve noticed that they often come from women. It’s something I don’t understand and will never understand but, in some way, I’ve made peace with it. I think, for example, of what happened to Chiara Ferragni: regardless of the fact itself and considering that if you make a mistake it is right to pay in the competent offices, seeing all the hatred and evil that has come to her hurts. We need more solidarity, we need more understanding and less judgement. In general, I try to empathize with the people who criticize, because it is clear that they have been through something bad to behave in that way.”
Angelo, the new love
After the end of the relationship with Elio Lorenzoni Today Belén is happy with her Angel Galvanoa thirty-four year old engineer who she has been dating for several weeks and with whom she was photographed in Sardinia during a family holiday with her two children, Santiago and Luna Mari (the first is the son of Stephen DeMartino, the second by Antonino Spinalbese). It’s still early to talk about orange blossoms, Belén doesn’t give up on the idea of his happiness. «I was torn to pieces, to shreds. But in the end I win, because I don’t give up.
