Lawyers: the Teramo trainees Tribuiani and Mastrilli win the rhetoric tournament ‘Scacco d’Atto 2024’ in Lucca. The satisfaction of the president Lessiani: “A reward for our commitment to training”

TERAMO – Martina Mastrilli and Chiara Tribuiani from Teramo are the winners of the eighth edition of the national forensic rhetoric tournament ‘Scacco d’Atto 2024’, held in Lucca over the weekend. The young students from the Teramo forensic school beat their colleagues from Rovigo in the final.

A prestigious success, which comes at the end of a high-level competition between students – who are preparing to practice the profession of lawyer – of 12 Italian law schools, divided into 6 teams over two days.

In front of a jury of experts chaired by the lawyer and professor Francesco Paolo Luiso, coordinator of the Scientific Committee of the Fondazione Scuola Forense Alto Tirreno, the two victorious trainees from Teramo demonstrated their oratory and argumentative skills, discussing civil and criminal law cases with mastery. Their victory represents the culmination of an intense training course, which saw the students compete with colleagues from various forensic schools in Italy.

The Teramo delegation present at the tournament was composed of the two young students, the lawyer and director of the Teramo Law School, Gabriella Zuccarini, and the members of the board of directors of the School, the lawyers Luca D’Eugenio and Elena Concordia.

This achievement represents a source of great pride for our forensic school. – comments the director of the Teramo Forensic School, Gabriella Zuccarini –. A success that rewards the commitment and dedication of Martina and Chiara but also the entire team work that characterized the preparation for the tournament. The trophy must certainly be shared with the students who participated in the previous editions of the tournament, Maura Sperandii and Deborah Irelli (Cosenza 2022), Davide Iachini and Pietro Galassi (Trento 2023), tutors in the final stages of preparation before leaving for Lucca and all the students of our school who trained with the chess players in the discussion of cases”.

Participation in the ‘Scacco d’Atto’ Tournament is part of a broader training project aimed at enhancing the skills of young lawyers – says the president of the Teramo Bar Association, Antonio Lessiani -. An ambitious goal that the Teramo Law School pursues with tenacity, aware of the fundamental role that rhetoric plays in the practice of the legal profession.”.

I express my warmest congratulations to Martina and Chiara for their brilliant victory. – adds President Lessiani –. A success that fills the entire Teramo forum with pride because the award is a national recognition of the value of our Forensic School and confirms the validity of the proposed training path. I thank the members of the school’s board of directors for their fruitful commitment and all the colleagues of the forum and the magistrates who participated in the preparation of the young trainees”.
