The bizarre but highly effective couple of Miami policemen, Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, return for the fourth time with Bad Boys: Ride or Die and, earning almost 839 thousand euros with an average of 2,273 in 369 cinemas, jumps to the top of the charts of the week end of the Italian box office. The overall collection is still low: 2,462,955 euros with a slight increase of 8% on last week, which had marked the negative record for 2024, and again -35% compared to the same period last year.
In second place Kinds of Kindness by Yorgos Lanthimos again together with Emma Stone. The director of Poor Creatures, after the Golden Lion and four Oscar awards with his previous film, with the new work already awarded at Cannes, makes another 256 thousand euros (-34%) with an average of 551 euros on 465 theaters, almost touching one million in fifteen programming days.
The comedy of Me against You slipped into third place after two weeks in a row at the top: down 51% and with an average of 581 out of 440 cinemas, they earned almost 256 thousand for an overall result of 2 million 276 thousand.
The Watchers, by Ishana Night Shyamalan, author of the Sixth Sense, with Dakota Fanning plunged into a nightmare in the Irish forest, slips to fourth place.
The collection is 142 thousand euros for a total of 532 thousand in two weeks. Stable in fifth place is If – Imaginary Friends, written and directed by John Krasinski, with Ryan Reynolds and Cailey Fleming which brought in 106 thousand euros for a total of 1 million 987 thousand in 5 weeks.
Among the debuts in sixth place is The Art of Joy – part 2 with 103 thousand euros and an average of 384 in 268 cinemas, in seventh place is The Animal Kingdom with 99 thousand euros and an average of 312 in 317 theatres.
worth mentioning is the eighth position of another television series The Chosen – Ep. 1-2 which made 69 thousand euros but with an average of 1,780 (the second best of the top ten) on 39 screens.
Closing the top ten are Furiosa – A Mad Max Saga with another 57 thousand euros (in total 1 million 704 thousand in one month) and The Exorcism, the last act with Russell Crowe in the role of a declining actor finally cast in the role of the exorcist in a horror film: the takings reached 57 thousand euros for a total of 728 thousand in 3 weeks.
