Fedez against Marcell Jacobs. The clash you don’t expect arrives in court, even if “only” for a defamation lawsuit. But the athletics champion risks being sent to trial because of Dome and Annamaria Berrinzaghi, the rapper’s mother. It all begins in 2021: Dream of Ordinary Madness manages Jacobs’ image, as well as that of Fedez and the footballer Zaniolo. The Italian from Desenzano del Garda wins the gold medal in the hundred meter dash and that of the relay together with the other Italians. At the time there was already talk of the enormous gains that the victory would mean for the athlete. And the focus is also on Dome’s promotional activity, which “puts brands at the centre, with creative, consultancy and influencer marketing projects”.
The quarrel
Then, tell the Corriere della Sera, Something happens. Jacobs breaks his contract with Dome, who file a civil lawsuit against him. But above all, on 18 January 2023 he gave an interview in which he accused the company of not having looked after his interests in the best possible way. «In 2018 I entrusted myself to Fedez’s company, I expected that being close to him would give visibility but they never developed a project there», he declares. «I won in Tokyo and they wrote to me 24 hours later. They were at the seaside and they didn’t care at all”, he adds. The reaction was not long in coming. The lawyers Gabriele Minniti and Andrea Pietrolucci receive a mandate to sue for defamation from Berrinzaghi and Fedez, as well as from the company’s legal representative. And the Brescia prosecutor’s office decides to support the defamation charge.
Defamation
The deputy prosecutor Giovanni Tedeschi files the notice of conclusion of the investigation, which usually preludes the request for indictment. Which could arrive while the champion will be in Paris to defend the gold medals won in Tokyo.
