Kate Middleton breaks the silence and does so with a beautiful photo, on the eve of Trooping the Color – a fundamental event for the house of Windsor – while subjects, fans and experts wondered whether or not the princess would be there in the unmissable postcard on the balcony celebrating her birthday institutional of King Charles. And the answer is the right one: yes, Kate Middleton will be there, despite her illness and ongoing treatments.
“I have been amazed by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last two months. They really made a difference for William and me and they helped us both overcome some of the most difficult moments”, writes the princess through her social channels, sharing a beautiful photo at the foot of a tree, taken in 2024 by the royal photographer Matt Porteous.
«I’m making good progress», he continues, «but as anyone going through chemotherapy knows there are good days and bad days. On difficult days you feel weak, tired and have to give in to resting your body. But on good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of the feeling of well-being.”

It’s still: «My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On days when I feel pretty good, it’s a joy to engage in school life, dedicate my personal time to the things that give me energy and positivity, and start working from home a little.
I can’t wait to attend the King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and I hope to participate in some public engagements over the summer, but I also know I’m not out of the woods yet.
I’m learning to be patient, especially with uncertainty. I take each day as it comes, listen to my body and I allow myself to take this much needed time to heal. Thank you so much for your continued understanding and to all of you who have courageously shared your stories with me.”
