Massimo Boldi speaks without problems about his career, confesses without filters to share his experiences, but also the less glorious moments. I do instinctive, gut-level comedy. I don’t see the problem“. At 78 the comedian is confronted with the ghosts and joys of a life dedicated to comedy.
On the relationship that has become complex in recent years with his and companion of many cinepanettoni, Christian De Sica, so he says. “There’s no problem, we’ve always been friends. And by forever I mean since 1972, when I met Christian who was still just the son of Vittorio De Sica. He was a decidedly overweight boy, but elegant and very good at being a Sinatra-style crooner. Then we lost sight of each other until we started making filmic panettones. And we know the rest.”
Teo Teocoli is not spared one last jab, whose arguments on stage have become proverbial. “We also argued behind the scenes, and there was nothing to laugh about. We often fought: Teo is a bully. But we are still very good friends.”
