The Lord of the Rings, Sean Bean kicked out of a Liverpool bar: video from social media

During the evening of Friday 31 May, Sean Bean was reportedly stopped by security at a Liverpool bar. Subsequently – as reported by The Independent – the venue claimed that it was a simple “misunderstanding”.

While the Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones actor was in the Tom Thumb bar in the English city, a security guard approached him, asking him not to use the electronic cigarette inside the place. According to some witnesses, Bean would be physically kicked out of the pub, after refusing to stop vaping. In particular, an anonymous customer told Mail Online that the turn of events shocked all the patrons present. “I was surprised and happy when, at first, I looked up and saw Sean Bean sitting down. When the bouncer approached him, I thought it was for a photo, but he was actually asking Sean to stop vaping in the bar. The bouncers were just behaving as they do with everyone else, which is fair enough.”.

Meanwhile, after a series of stolen videos spread online, Tom Thumb management said the actor and the bouncer immediately clarified: “All of this has been blown out of proportion. Sean Bean did well and is a good person, it was a misunderstanding. Sean Bean and the bouncer shook hands outside the bar, and Sean is welcome anytime“. The star did not comment on the news.

Sean Bean, 65, has won two BAFTAs for his performances in Broken (2018) and Time (2022) and will soon be among the protagonists of the series This City is Ours, created by the producers of The Crown.
