This had been in the air for a while, but only in recent hours have we had confirmation: Evangeline Lilly she has decided to say goodbye (or, at least, goodbye) to Hollywood, giving up at least for the moment on pursuing her career as an actress to dedicate herself to aspects of her private life in which she seems to be more interested today.
The actress who called Michael Douglas GILF on the set of Ant-Man communicated her decision through a post on Instagram in which we also see her, in an old video shot on the set of Lost, talking about the possibility of say enough to acting to dedicate themselves to family and volunteering.
“I am so full of joy today that I get to live that dream of mine. I thank God, I feel so grateful for the blessings I have received. Giving up what seems like the most obvious path (money and fame) can sometimes be scary, but embracing your dharma replaces fear with satisfaction. I might even go back to Hollywood one day, but for now my place is here. A new season has arrived and I am ready and I am happy” we read in the actress’s post. The many comments of encouragement were immediate: we will see, therefore, if in the future Evangeline Lilly decides to return to show herself on the big or small screen.
