“Toto Cutugno was not a saint” – Il Tempo

Almost a year after the farewell to Toto Cutugno, his son Nicola was a guest of Mara Venier to remember him in the company of friends and well-known personalities from the world of entertainment. Among many, Alba Parietti also spoke about the singer, who hosted a historic edition of Domenica In with him. Present in the studio, the showgirl did not deny the rumors of bickering behind the scenes and, on the contrary, confirmed them by making the crisp climate. Everyone tried to celebrate the artist with emotional tones. Parietti, however, tried to make her speech colorful by inviting everyone “not to make it a holy picture”.

“He was an alpha male, and so was I but not like him”, admitted Alba Parietti, who with Toto Cutugno had hosted the edition of Domenica In 1992/93. “Toto had a characteristic, when it comes to pranks and surprises he would do both positive and negative ones, we say this just so as not to make a saint out of it”, she said, smiling. Brief tensions aside, however, the presenter said: “He made me do wonderful duets but I wanted Biagio Antonacci who was just starting out and he was gnawing at him. In the end he made us do it but what did he do, being friends of all, Biagio and I entered the studio but Toto made everyone believe we had an affair and the audience started chanting.” “Have we ever argued? Often and like animals about everything”, she added.
