Gordon Ramsay, the famous British chef and television personality, escorted his daughter to the altar Holly on his best day. The young woman, linked to the Olympic champion from 2023 Adam Peatycelebrated a dream wedding in the Abbey of St. Peter and St. Paul in Bath, the iconic location seen in the Bridgerton series, on December 27th. But the smiles and the dream location were not enough to hide the family disagreements.

The great absentees

Adam Peaty decided to exclude his mother and brother from the guest list, while he would have allowed his father to participate in the ceremony “only if he sat at the back”.

At the basis of this decision there are conflicts that have never been resolved. The failure to invite his mother Carolinev triggered a very harsh reaction from his relatives, who on social media accused the athlete of having “distanced himself from his origins” and of having transformed under the weight of fame. Caroline declared that she was “heartbroken”, revealing a pain that has never healed. To complicate matters, the constant clashes with his older brother James, who was arrested and then released on bail after alleged threats made to Adam. The decision was made by the athlete despite his family having already booked accommodation and purchased clothes and gifts for the Olympian and his Holly Ramsay. Sources close to Adam report that the champion changed his mind during the Christmas period and communicated his decision to him at the same time.

Gordon’s “fiery” speech

Gordon Ramsay, father of the bride, gave a speech during the wedding breakfast criticizing the absence of Adam’s parents. According to the Mirror, the chef praised his daughter for her beauty, before telling the groom Adam that he was a “lucky man”. Addressing his wife Tana, he then added: “Look at Tana and you’ll see what awaits you”, understood by many as an attack on the sportsman’s parents. To then conclude: “It’s a shame that you don’t have the same one” but “Tana will be a good mother for both of you.” Caroline Peaty believes the chef was already planning on throwing this dig at her. A family source told the Daily Mail that: “Caroline can’t believe Gordon brought up family problems in his speech. It is scandalous and very offensive. By saying that Tana will be a good mom to both of them, Caroline seems like a bad mom. It was a cruel dig at him. He always did his best for all his children. She’s a great mom. Who says it wasn’t planned?”
