Alfonso Signorini self-suspends from Mediaset. The official decision was communicated by lawyers Daniela Missaglia and Domenico Aiello, the presenter’s new lawyers in civil and criminal matters, who speak of a slanderous and defamatory campaign aimed at destroying his honour: «To deal with these very serious illicit conducts, evident to all, and above all the widespread reverberation they find in some careless media, Dr. Alfonso Signorini, a professional who has built an entire career as a journalist, author, director and television presenter with scruple, seriousness and self-sacrifice, is forced to suspend all his ongoing editorial commitments with Mediaset as a precaution.”

According to the lawyers Missaglia and Aiello, «the main person responsible for this surreal and virulent aggression is known, a person who – despite previous criminal convictions – today would like to take on the role of judge and public prosecutor, imposing his own rules for personal gain and certainly not for the interest of Justice.

All at the cost of irreparable and enormous damage to the intended victims.” The reference, obviously, is to Fabrizio Corona and the very serious accusations in his YouTube format “Falsissimo”. «The reconstruction proposed to the detriment of Dr. Alfonso Signorini – they continue – is devoid of any proof or truth; we will act in every way so that not only is the maliciously malicious conduct stopped, but all the competitors and beneficiaries of this crime are made known to Justice, also towards those who favor its continuation with the never-silent intention of continuing to obtain, in various forms, benefits, advertising or revenues from such illicit activities”. «We will also act without delay against sponsors, search engines, sites and web channels that amplify the effects of criminal conduct. Those who still offer showcases and deals of this kind today place economic interests before respecting constitutional rights and the sacredness of the private lives of others, indeed they do not recognize any value in them. They too – conclude the two lawyers – are the true co-authors of the crime and therefore responsible for the unjust damage that Dr. Alfonso Signorini is suffering.”

«Mediaset welcomes Alfonso Signorini’s decision to suspend his editorial commitment as a precaution, given the need to protect himself and the people involved in the media affair in which he was reluctantly involved».
