Sporty crossovers, the 4 most beautiful new products of 2026

Agile thanks to the 17-inch front rim but comfortable and protective for travel, sporty crossovers are an excellent compromise for those who love to have fun on a guided route without sacrificing comfort. In the motorcycle market there are ones for all license and price ranges, and in 2026 this segment will be further enriched by 4 proposals: from the maxi Honda CB1000GT through to the medium Suzuki SV-7GX, Zontes 703-T and Benelli TRK 902 Stradale. Let’s look at them one by one, in alphabetical order.

Benelli TRK 902 Stradale

The TRK 902 is a road crossover created to tackle long journeys, thanks to specially developed equipment: as standard we find a large electrically adjustable windscreen, protective side panels with integrated direction indicators, plastic handguards and a central stand. Unlike its sister 902 forward-facing twin-cylinder of 904 cm³ and 95.2 HP at 9,000 rpm, embraced by a steel trellis frame with lateral reinforcement plates. Frame supported at the front by a 43mm Marzocchi upside down fork and at the rear by an adjustable monoshock absorber. The Brembo braking system uses a double 320 mm diameter front disc with 4-piston radial monobloc calipers and a 260 mm rear disc with two-piston caliper. Suspension travel is 130mm, with a seat height of 80.5cm. The declared weight is 231 kg in running order.

Honda CB1000GT

Developed on the technical basis of Hornet 1000 with a 1,000 cm³ inline four-cylinder engine and a steel diamond chassis, the CB1000GT is a sports crossover designed for fast travel. The power supply is Throttle By Wire, therefore managed electronically, and we find 5 driving modes: four preset (Standard, Sport, Rain, Tour), while the User can be customized by the rider. The declared power of the engine is 150 CV a 11.000 giriwhile the maximum torque is 102 Nm at 8,750 rpm. To adapt to the traveling attitude, the rear subframe has been revised and the swingarm lengthened, to the benefit of stability, while the most technically interesting innovation is the arrival of semi-active Showa suspension. The standard equipment is very rich: on the safety front there is an inertial platform, ABS and cornering traction control, while on the technology side we find full-LED lights, cruise control, keyless start and TFT display with smartphone connection and mirroring for navigation. Suzuki SV-7GX

At EICMA 2025 Suzuki presented the SV-7GX, a mid-size crossover that was born on the ultra-tested platform of the 645 cm³ V-twin with four-valve twin-cam distribution, liquid cooling and 72.5 HP of maximum power delivered at 8,500 rpm. A unit that marked an important success for the Hamamatsu company, equipping iconic models such as the naked SV 650 and the V-Strom 650 crossover, selling over 500,000 units in 25 years. The main innovation regarding the engine is the introduction of ride-by-wire power, which allowed us to have 3 delivery maps in addition to the traction control that can be adjusted to 3 levels or deactivated and the bidirectional electronic gearbox. As regards the chassis, the SV-7GX maintains the steel tube trellis frame of the SV650, supported at the front by a fork with 41 mm stanchions, while at the rear we find a monoshock with progressive linkages adjustable in spring preload to 7 positions. The travel allowed is 125 and 129 mm respectively. The wheels are 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels and are fitted with Pirelli Angel GT II tyres, while the braking system relies on a double 290 mm front floating disc with 4-piston calipers and a single 240 mm rear disc, both monitored by ABS. Zontes 703-T

On the same engine-chassis platform as the naked 703-R, the sporty 703-RR and the adventure 703-F, the Chinese company is offering this very interesting crossover for 2026, characterized by first-rate technical equipment. The powertrain is the same three-cylinder unit of 798 cm³ and even in this configuration it delivers 95 HP of maximum power and is supported by a complete technological package: acceleratore ride-by-wire, cruise control, ABS cornering and latest generation keyless system. The standard equipment also includes a front and rear video camera system with integrated recording and night vision (a new solution for the segment), die-cast aluminum framefully adjustable Marzocchi suspensions, KYB braking system with double front disc, side protection bars, adjustable plexi, TFT display with connection, full-LED headlights, hand guards with integrated indicators and additional spotlights. The weight is 206 kg with the full 20 liter tank. The arrival on the market is scheduled for spring 2026, but for all the technical characteristics we refer you to our presentation article.
