It’s a new social network which opened a few months ago and is gradually continuing gaining traction among younger generations. As soon as he was born it wasn’t clear what path he should take: a platform that is very reminiscent of other social networks, born out of nothing, with ruthless competition. In the center a very particular function.
Each social network grows with its communities: it was born with some objectives but then evolves based on the will of its audience, it is the users who choose what to do with it. In this case, initially the boom in membership involved all ages, then young people gradually took power.
The problem is that over time the social algorithm has changed several times, presenting itself completely different from what we have been used to with Facebook and Instagram. With these updates also came the criticism that began to create a sort of general escape. Now, however, things have changed thanks to some great news.
The new social platform: it is not a dating site nor a work app, boom in registrations
It is not a dating social network, but not even a work social network. We don’t share videos, and we prefer photos and short texts. It’s called Threads and it is an invention of Zuckerberg and Meta, or rather, a mix of various social networks, which is very similar to the concept of X (formerly Twitter). The algorithm initially started to work much like TikTok and probably also for this reason appreciated by younger people, accustomed to wanting to go ‘viral’ in a short time.
This means in the feed the results will not be linked only to what you follow but they will above all present what is very viral, even if it doesn’t have much to do with their tastes. This path taken by social media has meant that many young girls have started to seek attention post explicit images looking for likes and views.
Users find their message board flooded with photos of girls of all ages started criticizing the embarrassing short circuit created by the algorithm. It is not a dating platform, or at least it was not born as such, but it seems to have become one due to the contents inserted by the users themselves.
