Nutella Ice Cream, Ferrero launches a new ice cream and celebrates 60 years of the hazelnut cream

Ferrero launches a new ice cream and aims straight at the historic brand invented 60 years ago. Thus was born Nutella Ice Cream which represents not only the entry of the Nutella brand into the packaged ice cream market, but also the arrival of Ferrero in the tub segment. A market, that of packaged ice cream to be consumed at home, which overall in Italy is worth 1.45 billion euros and which is growing by 8.4% in value, of which tubs represent approximately 30%. The arrival of Nutella brand ice cream therefore falls within a segment worth approximately 435 million euros.

Production in Spain

Nutella Ice Cream will be produced in the Alzira plant, in Spain, in the province of Valencia, thanks to the setting up of a totally new line, characterized by innovative systems and a high degree of automation and technology. The new ice cream has already been introduced as a test in supermarkets, including Esselunga, and is already being distributed in France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Luxembourg.

The other ice creams

Nutella Ice Cream joins the Ferrero ice cream range, which starting from 2021 has embraced brands such as Kinder Bueno Classico and Kinder Bueno White cones, Ferrero Rocher and Raffaello sticks, Kinder Chocolate Ice
Cream, Pocket Coffe and, also new in 2024, Pocket Coffee Mocaccino, which join the Estathé Ice popsicles.
