On behalf of the district attorney of Naples, the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco Company have carried out a precautionary custody order in prison against 9 people seriously suspected, in various capacities, of the crimes of persecution, personal injury and detention and carrying weapons in a public place, crimes aggravated by the mafia method for having resorted to the intimidation capacity of the Camorra-type association called Martino clanhistorically operating in the eastern area of Naples and, in particular, in the Ponticelli district.
At the end of the investigations carried out by the Carabinieri of the Cercola department, it emerged that the suspects resorted to impositions, which progressively became more intimidating and prevaricating, in order to guarantee them the custody, in total absence of any judicial regulation, of a little girl born from the relationship of a woman with the scion – detained – of a family historically at the top of one of the Camorra factions competing for criminal hegemony in the Neapolitan neighborhood Bridges.
The investigations also allowed us to document the execution of actual armed processions by members of the Camorra group in question to escort the paternal grandparents on the occasion of the daily collections and returns of the little girl.
